Bedrooms:
Alderfen View boasts five charming bedrooms, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The ground floor features a twin and a large double bedroom, while the upper floor houses three king-size bedrooms with ample storage for clothing and luggage.

Bathrooms:
On the ground floor, a shower room and separate W/C are conveniently located. The utility area holds the walk-in shower, toilet, and sink, while the front hallway houses the W/C. Upstairs, discover a light and airy family bathroom with a bath, shower cubicle, toilet, and sink. Bath towels are provided for each guest, however, please kindly bring your own swimming towels.

Living Space:
Unwind in the expansive living room, offering a choice of comfortable sofas for a family movie night. (Guests need to use their own logins for streaming apps on the Smart TV.) With views of the garden and pool, this homely space is perfect for relaxation after a day of swimming and sunbathing!

Kitchen and Dining:
The standout kitchen and dining room offer a range of appliances, cutlery, and crockery. Featuring a large fridge freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, and toaster. A washing machine and dryer are in the utility room. Gather around the large dining table for a family feast, with seating for ten and an additional two at the breakfast bar.

Outside:
Alderfen View’s spacious garden provides room for outdoor games and alfresco dining. The heated swimming pool, (open from 23rd May to 30th September), takes centre stage. Enjoy a poolside beverage on beautiful summer days, and you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’ve been transported abroad!

Really lovely location. As previous reviews state it’s definitely in need of a refresh but still very lovely. We did have to clean the house quite a bit before using anything as everything was dirty, especially kitchen and bathrooms. Pool is great fun but again needs some maintenance done. We have a lovey stay and the size suited us perfectly for 7 guests. It’s just needs a good deep clean and a spruce up.

Lovely quiet location, comfortable bed/ house, lovely heated pool There were a few issues (see below) but I'd like to think we'd stay again  There was one toilet roll to be shared between three bathrooms/ six people. When we questioned that, after an initial reply, we didn't hear back. Feedback from after the stay seemed to imply that they believe it's acceptable to only provide this to a remote house with no warning, so yes, pay over £1000 for three nights, but don't expect more than one toilet roll (or kitchen sponge/ tea towel) between you all, to be shared between three bathrooms!  There was also a dirty spatula in a drawer and no basics like a whisk, so for the money these facilities were a little lacking

Big spacious bedrooms and large comfy beds  Not the cleanest but comfortable. Pool wasn’t heated and took three days of messaging before the pump was put on continuously. However, the pool was a good addition to the house when weather was warm. The property needs refurbishing. Would benefit from cupboards in bedrooms and furnishings replacing. Curtains were hanging off the rails and rips in sofas etc but the location is peaceful and relaxing

The house was extremely comfortable and very homely with it's choice of sofas! Large, spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and three toilets, noone had to wait for the facilities. The weather was excellent so the pool was used multiple times through the day. We ventured out every day and the fun continued when we got home making the most of it! The kids were even in the pool after breakfast before going out!  Some reviews mentioned outdated decor but I felt right at home. I felt like I was staying in a home not a hotel which we all enjoyed. The kitchen is beautiful and sunny most of the day. Well equipped for the roast that I cooked for everyone (maybe some scales and a whisk would have made life a little easier?) There were a couple of issues along the way but host and stay delt with them promptly so I'm not going to moan. Although I did forget to mention about the shower cubicle downstairs leaking however we managed the floor with the mop and bucket after each use.  I highly recommend ❤️

The house is in need of an update! Very dated. As expected from the photos however the photos are not very accurate,broken cupboards & broken drawers in the kitchen. Covers on the chairs in the kitchen are very stained. Living room sofas not the comfiest. Minimal storage in bedrooms to store clothing. The bathroom upstairs really needs a refurb, stains, black marks in shower. Again minimal storage for products. The best part we initially thought was the pool however the pump constantly goes off to heat it. And unless you realise and go sort it, the pool temperature drops really quick! Overall an “okay” stay. Not worth what we paid unfortunately! Lots of cobwebs & dead flys on windowsills on arrival which you’d expect to have been cleaned. Nice area, peaceful and quiet with wildlife around. We wouldn’t return but given its area if it was updated & throughly cleaned we likely would!

The whole house is in general need of updating. We were very unfortunate with the weather meaning we spent more time at the house than we had planned. Little things would have made the stay much better, for example having condiments in the kitchen(even salt pot was empty) We had to go and buy things like toilet roll, kitchen surface spray, bin bags. The towels were very small and not the best quality. Tumble drier although looks new didn’t produce any heat. The summer house with all the chairs and pool stuff was disgusting. Everything was just chucked in there and it stunk, we later discovered someone had left bait in the crabbing kit. Assuming this area isn’t checked. Could do with some board games in the house rather than just puzzles which have pieces missing. The pool saves this house

We enjoyed our stay!  It’s a lovely home You are kinda in the middle of nowhere, so expect to drive if you want to go anywhere and also taxi’s were quite expensive for only short distances.  The house was lovely, amazing kitchen. Was a little outdated in decor and the pool was quite shallow - we didn’t make as much use of this as we’d hoped.  Parking enough for 3 cars

We had a lovely stay. Everything we needed. It is remote which is what we wanted.

Fantastic holiday and the house gave us everything we needed to have a wonderful, memorable family holiday.  We would have liked to been able to check in at 2pm instead of 4pm and check out at 11am instead of 10am.

Great house in a lovely location. Plenty of space for a family holiday and to relax. Plenty to do in the local area. Very clean and welcoming.

Location and nice big rooms  Property description said 3 bathrooms. True in estate agent speak but in reality 2 bathrooms and one toilet. Only 3 wineglasses provided in a priory that sleeps 10 didn’t seem reasonable.

This is location for getaway.  Heated pool is amazing feature for English summer or weekend retreat in the heated pool season if visiting with kids. .  We had 4 kids while 3 were 70% of time in the pool - 26-28 degrees are good enough to fresh them up in heat or warm them when temperature about 20.  Wild deers wandered to the garden to drink from the pool early morning.  Spacious house with spacious rooms.  Kitchen had most things needed.  Very remote, however public walking is not very convenient as roads are narrow, but luckily cars driving slow in this area. While it is in close proximity to the lake -> there is no good access to the water, only can be observed from the window. :) Dated house gives a vintage feeling (not for all liking) Tyre punctured with the limestone while approaching parking. (Its just unlucky, nothing to complaint really.) Kitchen, , was missing a good knife to cut meat. We had to improvise sharpening what was there. 

Overall a good stay with family friends. Like visiting grandmothers house in a farm.

Good location , very quiet and close to broads . Honestly could do with some TLC much of the property and grounds are tired and need updating . But a good size house for family time .

A very spacious and secluded property, set in its own grounds, very close to Alderfen Broad.

The house was clean and very spacious for our family of 9. The pool was a huge hit with everyone. It was lovely and warm upon arrival and everyone jumped straight in! We found the location peaceful and perfect for exploring the broads and Norfolk coastline.  The negative for us was that we had an ongoing issue with the washing machine. It didn’t work for the entirety of our trip which made life very difficult. We travelled with 3 young children and always stay in this type of accommodation because we need facilities like this. We had no clean towels all week and had to hand wash clothing essentials. Something that is far from ideal on holiday, especially when you’ve paid over £4,000. Although an engineer was eventually sent, it didn’t fix the issue and no clean towels were provided despite our request.

Excellent accommodation ..could do with a freshen up in places.. Excellent communication with the hosts.. Plenty of outside seating(not listed) The pool was fabulous for us.. Excellent location.. Small welcome pack and lots of towels for everybody.. Would definitely return next year..

The pool was beautifully warm upon our arrival despite the fact that the pool "season" had begun just a couple of days previously and despite the recent horrific power cost increases. I was very grateful for that as we had 5 small children who virtually lived in the pool, which is 1.2m deep and ideal for young swimmers.  Furthermore, the pool is very private and so children can make as much noise as they want without adults worrying about disturbance to others.  The house is in a beautiful location and lots of wildlife visited while we were there (notably Muntjac deer and a hare who sunbathed on the lawn besides the pool). The White Horse Inn is well worth the walk (about 2.5 miles each way) and beautiful Horning not that much further.

We had great stay. Clean, comfortable rooms. It's just as relax as at our own house.   Easy walk around to few natural broads.

alderfen view is a fantastic place to stay for a break in Norfolk. the house is very comfortable and has everything you could need. the pool is a great addition to the garden and the house is ideally situated for exploring the Broads and the coast

Lovely stay in a great location. Welcoming host and very easy to check in.  Was very clean when we moved in.

if you looking for a place to chill and relax,  I think this is one of the best I had been.
