The cottage was exactly as advertised, with a dedicated parking space right next to the property which was really convenient. The bed and pillows were lovely and very comfortable, plus an electric blanket which was a lovely idea, and we slept really well throughout our stay. One of the radiators in the living room wasn’t working, however there was a log fire which we used both evenings, and all logs were provided which was a nice touch. The cottage is also right next to a pub, and although we could hear some noise at times, it certainly wasn’t enough to spoil our stay or disturb our sleep. One of the days was very wet and rainy, so we stayed in for the day. If you enjoy playing games or spending cosy evenings indoors, I’d recommend bringing a few with you as there weren’t any provided in the cottage. Overall, the location is excellent and within easy reach of all amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.
Lovely cottage in Seahouses, Northumberland. We stayed for 5 nights and the cottage had everything we needed including things like an iron and washing machine. Excellent location opposite The Black Swan inn and The Schooner inn, we only tried The Black Swan and it was lovely. The cottage is minutes walking distance from the shops with a good selection of restaurants and general places in the village centre for a mooch around. It’s perfect location for the boat tours which are literally a short walk down the hill. We kept ourselves occupied in the evenings with the TV which has Netflix etc and there’s a nice little book swap in the cottage which we thought was really sweet. Bamburgh castle is literally the next village over and Beadnell the other side which has a great restaurant called The Landing. We also found the bed and bedding in the cottage exceptionally comfy and cosy.
