Getting Around
Hexham is easily accessible by all modes of transport from within the UK or abroad.
Hexham Train Station is a 30-minute rail journey from Newcastle upon Tyne, part of the East Coast Mainline. Hexham Train Station also has direct services operating to other locations across Northern England including Carlisle, Middlesbrough, Morpeth and Whitby.
A 40-minute drive to the West is Carlisle which links to the West Coast Mainline where there are routes to Glasgow and Manchester Airports. Newcastle Airport is a 30-minute drive away from Hexham.
The North Shields Ferry Terminal, linking with mainland Europe, is roughly an hour away from Hexham by car.
