Despite being charged £200 for cleaning the bathrooms were dirty the small fridge in the kitchen only had one shelf and there were no shelves in the door although there is another larger fridge/freezer in the garage. The two end chairs in the dining room are dangerous as the arms are loose. The bathroom downstairs does not have a shower curtain which means if you want a shower someone has to hold the shower hose as there is no hook for it.

The place was excellent house, surroundings etc no issues. We had problems with door to garage which wouldn't unlocl and all our food was in the fridge freezer in garage. Stay were not helpful and asked ys to go hunting for a spare key. We had to get it sorted ourselves which ruined nearly half a day of our weekend. Will not use stay again

We loved being in the sun room - great views out over the fields. Felt spacious and a good number of bathrooms to cater for a large group. Good base for exploring the Northumberland coast!!

The house was wide and tidy. It is located in a small town where there are several activities such as, taking a trip in the sea to number of islands. Also, there is a lovely centre there.

It was a lovely location, very easy to get to places of interest. We saw hares and deer from the window which the young children with us loved. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The sun-lounge room gave us a good comfortable space to be together and a great view of the local countryside. The rooms were clean and tidy

They seem be a little stingy on things. One toilet room per bathroom only. One dish-clothe. One tea-towel. Bath towels - but no hand-towels. No oven-gloves.

Lovely views from the house. We were able to walk from the house and leave the cars behind. Beds were comfortable and really enjoyed the large sunroom.

Lovely stay in Seahouses. Just a short walk to the Main Street and short drive to Bamborugh Castle. Although the house was at the end of a cup de sac and near other houses it was a corner pot looking on to fields so felt quiet and peaceful. The large conservatory was warm and cosy and meant the adults had a place to convene as the children watched movies in another room.

Great location and lovely house for our group of 8. Fantatstic place to look up at the Stars after dark.

Problems with the Heating on arrival around 18.20. Reported this to the Management Company who were not very good at keeping us informed. They said they would report the issue and try to get someone out to the House the following morning. As we had a 4 year old and an 86 year old in our party, I informed them that this was not acceptable. Had to chase up a further 2 times due to no feedback. There was also a smell of oil in the house as we were told that the Boiler issue had been addressed and sorted out in the morning. Eventually the Owner contacted us, and whilst we had to use portable radiators in the evening, an engineer visited the next morning. Further issue: we returned home on Monday and I received a call on Tuesday afternoon from the management company to inform me that an engineer would be coming on Wednesday !!

What a beautiful home and surroundings . The beds were comfy . There were some toys and games which my son loved.
Only thing I would really change would be the amount of pictures on the wall. They were not only very dated but a little too much as there was so many . The children were a little scared of some of them but this is just a preference. We felt at home and comfortable

Very nice property for families with a lovely location overlooking fields and Bamburgh through the trees. Looks just like the pictures. We felt the £200 cleaning fee on top just pushed this out of the ‘good for money’ bracket without this we felt good value.
Beds and linen were clean and comfortable.
We really enjoyed staying here, particularly the kids, and felt the location was perfect for accessing locations such as Bamburgh, Craster, Embleton and Alnwick.

We had a great few days at Cheviot View. The house is spacious and looks over the countryside from two aspects. It is an easy 20 mins walk to the beach, with pavements all the way. Plenty of room for a family of six. Whilst in the area, don’t miss Alnwick Castle. The ticket allows for repeat entry for a year - usually a gimmick, but with all the activities we easily filled two days making it excellent value for money.

Spent a family weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house has quite a dated interior but was very spacious with plenty parking. The kitchen isn’t great - dishwasher didn’t seem to work properly, fridge in the kitchen was small and you couldn’t stand a carton of milk in it ( there was another fridge in the garage), and generally some of the equipment was well passed its sell by date but we managed okay. Particularly enjoyed sitting in the conservatory and looking out onto the nearby fields. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all good.

We had a nice stay and loved the place. Lots of space, easy to park and well fitted kitchen. The only problem was that internet wasn't working when we arrived, but we contacted the host and they fixed it the following day.

A lovely house to stay in. Plenty of room (we were a party of 4 adults and 5 children). Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils/crockery/glasses etc. Bed linen and towels were provided. We loved our stay and would stay at this property again.

Overall, the property was nice and set in a quiet location with lovely views. Although the kitchen isn’t great in terms of size compared to the number of people that it can host. It generally looked clean but could be cleaner, lots of dust and bits under furnishings. Our big issue when we arrived was it was freezing cold inside the house and soon discovered the heating was not working. Although someone came out that night, they couldn’t start the boiler. Fortunately someone came the following day and replaced a broken part enabling us to finally warm the house up. Why the heating had not been checked before our arrival we never got an answer to. This led to some appalling customer service and communication from Host and Stay as we tried to claim a partial refund for our disruption. A process that is still going on weeks after our stay. Even Airbnb who we booked it via. failed to get a response from them.

Lovely house and great location. 9 of us stayed and plenty of space and great views. Was surprised as expected an older house due to decor, however it was a modern house decorated in older style. Would stay there again

Well appointed rooms with provision of shower gel/ toiletries in bathrooms a bonus . Excellent location - very quiet at end of cul de sac and conservatory ideal place to relax

Only problem I experienced was that the electric hob seemed difficult to work and required some pretty solid pressure to start it.
Would have appreciated guidance what to do with glass bottles as there appears to be no kerbside collection (leave them in garage/kitchen? I found a bottle bank in Seahouses but not everyone would bother!
Would have appreciated two keys for the front door - as a party of nine doing varied activities it was a bind checking who would be out last !

lovely sun room, lovely master bedroom, stunning views. good base for exploring the area. Great that a couple of buckets and spades were int he garage to take to the beach.

The kitchen was dark and old fashioned, the living room decor is also a old fashioned. The glass doors hadn’t been cleaned and it looked a bit grotty. The bins were overflowing outside and the birds had made a mess all over the front garden.

Great house for larger groups. Wonderful countryside setting but close to the sea as well. Peaceful and private with a fabulous view over open countryside. Spacious and clean with excellent bathroom facilities. Décor rather dark and dated. The twin room was not well described as it only had 2 small single beds in, no mirror, no bed side tables or lights and only a chest of drawers.
Plenty of parking for 4 cars.
The main downside to our stay was the heating system, which was known to be faulty, was not working for 2 days and on one of these we had no hot water either. This was very inconvenient when we all returned after a long day walking to shower/bath and change ready to go out for dinner on our last evening.
The problem was eventually fixed by an electrician talking us through the instructions to reset the boiler in the garage. A simple enough task that had we had instructions in the manual we could have remedied it immediately instead of waiting 2 days. Communication for this incident could have been better, having to make several phone calls and waiting several hours.

We had a positive discussion with the host with respect to some maintenance issues and with an issue with bin emptying (which seems to be a council matter which the hosts are trying to resolve) . We would say that if these issues could be addressed then we could wholeheartedly recommend the venue . Great location plenty of hot water and quality bedding and towels.
