A lovely place to stay. The photos flatter it ever so slightly, but honestly, it was a lovely place, really comfortable, clean and tidy with everything you need for a short stay. The cottage is a 5 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches you're going to come across (though, to be fair, we were there on the sunniest days of the year so far), and close to all the amenities you might need, including one or two really nice places to eat. We would recommend Coast Farm Cottage without reservation... thank you!

The cottage was superbly located for our needs and has ample off street parking that many similar properties do not. Recently refurbished to a good standard, most rooms are of ample proportions and with natural lighting. We found the cottage warm and cosy without needing to adjust the central heating controls and found the hot water for the shower, bath and basins to be immediate and constant. The property was found, and left, clean.

The twin room lacks sufficient storage, not a great issue for a short break but would become so if staying for a week. Whilst the television had an abundance of channels, it was a tiny screen that made viewing difficult. The kitchen units and tiles have been overpainted and then touched up and look somewhat unusual. There was a persistent smell of stale water in the kitchen that we could not locate. Leaving us just the three pieces of wood for the wood burner felt somewhat miserly. It would help if the mirror in the bathroom was above the basin and not two meters to the left.

The house was fabulous and it's in a great location. I booked through Airbnb bur Host and Stay requested a £250 bond for damages, which I paid. After I left the property they refused to return my deposit. There was an extra £10 fee for nothing and they said that they would hold on to my deposit for 7 days after I had vacated the property. What a con.
Such a shame because the house is great and the l8cation is fantastic.

The host is an AirB&B scammer who extorts extra money from you when stood outside in the cold trying to access the property

Seating area with 2 sofas lovely heating was a godsend on chilly evenings beds very comfy although duvet covers seemed a bit big for duvet which meant a bit of a wrestle during sleep

Once again in these properties I would like a rubber bath in the shower to reduce risk of slipping. Stairs were very steep and handrail was a bit unsturdy also toilet cistern came off the wall lightly when you sat on the loo. Also don’t need tv on hols but on cold evenings at this time of year was not a tv to watch very confusing hardly could get any channels on Roku as advertised also Netflix etc wanted signing in and subscribe

We had a brilliant stay in Maske. The house was exactly what we needed - quiet and well looked after. It's also in a great location - right by the sea and with all amenities close by. Hope to stay again soon!

I had a wonderful stay in Marske by the Sea in this cosy cottage. Marske had everything we needed within walking distance... supermarkets, pubs (including a craft ale taproom!) and a few cafes and restaurants. It was easy to get public transport to sights around the North East via bus and train and we walked along the beach to neighbouring Saltburn- another lovely place to visit! The cottage was spotless, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The location was amazing- a few mins walk and you are on the beach. We cant wait to come back!

Perfect location for beach lovers!! 5 min walk to Marske beach, super cosy home and one fo the oldest buildings in the area I found out. Had a lovely relaxing stay, brought my surf board and enjoyed some waves too. Nice walk to Saltburn on the beach too! Definitely staying again x

Stayed in both summer and winter. The cottage is both spacious and cosy, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The garden was lovely - sheltered and caught the sun all day. Less than 5 minutes walk to both the beach and the village centre, half an hour walk to Saltburn. Look forward to returning!

Amazing property, nestled in the centre of a quiet village that welcomes you as one of their own. The cottage is just a stone's throw from the sea and makes for a lovely morning jog or evening walk, and the house itself has everything you could hope for as a home away from home. There are transport links available into larger towns and cities such as Middlesbrough, Stockton and Darlington where onward travel is simple, but if you're looking for a peaceful break you shouldn't need to go much further than Marske itself, as it has all the basic necessities you'd need. Have already recommended to friends and will stay again if I'm in the area!

I came having never stayed in Marske before. I normally opt for Saltburn but I am so glad I came. The property is just so beautiful. Everything I needed for a romantic weekend away. The house has a log burner which while wasn’t needed in June , I imagine on a stormy winter evening it would be so cosy. Lovely garden area to sit out in and enjoy breakfast which was nice. The home has been lovingly decorated. Shower was great. I’m a stickler for a good shower you can move around in and this ticked that box. Bed was super comfy aswell. The beach is so close and convenient. A pleasant 5-10 min stroll onto the sand. You can walk all the way to saltburn from here with the right ride. The local town is also lovely. Went to a great pizza place and had the best pizza. Even with pineapple on! We were lucky with the weather but come with a hat and a waterproof jacket because the beach walk would still be fab. Sit on the sand with fish n chips and watch the sunset. I will be back for sure.
