Nice and cozy stay in a pleasant neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the comfortable beds and the beautiful interior! And of course the location of the accommodation with lots of great pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. There could have been more trash bins in the apartment. But despite that, everything was fine!

Spacious, clean and well equipped Uncomfortable sofa in living room and uncomfortable sofa bed. Also, no fault of host & stay but there seemed to be a hostel of some sort a little further down the road and as such, there were quite a few ‘intoxicated’ people hanging about. This was a little disconcerting for and uncomfortable for some of the group

Located in a nice area Big table in the kitchen, Teatowels and dishclothes were missing

Fantastic location and favorite spot for a large group. It was our 7th time renting in Liverpool, varying sizes of apartments. This was the largest group (7+ people) and we could not be happier with the layout for that number of guests. Ages ranged from a 17-year-old to two 80-year-olds. Having 3 bathrooms was terrific. The size and comfort of the bedrooms were wonderful and well appointed. Having the extra pull-out couches in the living room for our son who lives locally to stay over one night for goodbyes was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed for 4 dinners in and making almost all breakfast/snacks/coffee at the house over 8 days. Always a bonus was having a washer/dryer in the unit. Apartment looks out on the Cathedral from almost every room and had beautiful views of cobblestone streets on each side. The rooms were cool and breezy with big, beautiful windows even on the top floor. Our son's university was just steps away as was the graduation venue, some of our favorite restaurants, sightseeing and shopping a short walk away. Bold Street was a big hit with each generation of guests as was the slightly further Albert Docks. Cabs came easily to the entrance at the back of the apartment a bonus as so many one-way streets in Liverpool make this not always an option. The short distance from the airport with local buses heading in every direction only a short walk away as well as lime scooters at the corner for the younger crowd made getting about a breeze. Cannot say enough, thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. Highly recommend this apartment for its cleanliness, appointment, comfort, numerous baths and location. Don't know, really loved everything, maybe a broom? but we had a nice vacuum so not needed. Possibly and extra drying rack? Everything was well thought out by host.

Spacious apartment in great central location 10am check out time was very early but no other issues

Booked this for family to attend a graduation ceremony at the University. Two parents, a couple, and two sisters. The space and rooms were perfect for this. It was really nice to have a TV and flex space in each room. The apartment itself was classic, pretty, and comfortable. The kitchenettes were well equipped, and made the stay feel very homely. You are of course, in walking distance of the Universities, Bold Street, China Town etc. Ideal location. Bathrooms could be a little more purposeful, could have done with an additional shelf or towel rack. A few guest washcloths would also have been appreciated. There were a few minor maintenance issues, such as a broken toilet seat, but nothing that impacted our stay. Re: Parking - even if the listing doesn't have parking as an amenity, I do think it reasonable for the management to give sensible advice about parking in the area, as the suggested on-street parking is limited to 4-hours. We ended up parking in the Philharmonic which was not a problem, but staff was a little unhelpful and defensive when we got there to find that the on-street parking was not adequate for an overnight stay. Seeing as management sends you a *superfluous* amount of messaging upon booking, it can consider adding this to the shared information. Re: Messaging - the guidance and clarity did ensure an orderly stay, but this volume and frequency of messaging could be halved with the same effect.

Lovely accomodation for a group, very clean and comfy beds, everything needed for a long weekend stay. Nothing major but the following might be good: instructions to get in...20 falkner street is the front of the house but the actual entry is at the back on blackbourne street. Would be better described as 20 falkner house, blackbourne street?! Sofas in living room uncomfortable. One dishwash tab each day would have been useful, rather than just 2 overall.

Lovely looking apartment , good location There were a lot of stairs with no lift. T here were menstrual stains,old laundry ,a broken spindle which my grandaughter could fit through a dirty kettle ,dangerous stairs which I fell down as they narrow of to non existence The messages prior and during our stay kept mentioning financial penalties we would incur if faults were found after our stay so our stay was spent having to document and take photos of problems I passed on these issues and the resolution team ignored half of them and said I hadn't mentioned issues that I reminded the I resent them copies of my previous correspondence to them in which the fall, bags of dirty laundry and they have ignored me ever since. There is only room to add a few pictures but I have more

Nice location, plenty of space for everyone. Comfortable beds. Cheerful flat! Only one dish towel supplied and only one toilet roll in each bathroom, more would have been nice. :)

The apartment itself was big -staff very helpful with checking in and were very informative. Bin in bathroom wasn't changed when we arrived. Someone's sanity towels were visible. Smell of weed from a neighbour above (or beside us , not known which direction excatly ) was very strong in the evening/ night time.

I liked the way the property was close enough to the city centre yet just out enough to enjoy the quiet of the lovely area it is situated in. There was nothing I didn’t like about the property

Lovely apartment in a lovely area. Communication and instructions before arrival were great - do read the arrival guide they send, it is really good. The Georgian quarter in Liverpool is beautiful, and this apartment is very comfortable and stylish to fit in with the area. Good facilities in the apartment that seem to cover all you need. A few more coffee pods for the coffee machine would be nice.

We loved the area, close to pubs and restaurants but quiet enough for a good night's sleep. We were in the middle apartment, very secure. A coffee to get in the gate, another to get in the front door and another door the key safe, I just kept a screen shot for when we were coming back each evening. I drove to the Albert dock but I think there is public transport and for those who didn't mind a walk it was doable.

The apartment was stunning, we couldn't have asked for better, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable. It was in a wonderful location with some beautiful eateries . . The little alley and the steps and handrail to the house were covered in birds excrement and just a regular jet wash would sort that out, otherwise everything was perfect

Location was great. The rooms were cold at night. Thankfully I’d read that another reviewer had said the same thing, so had packed a hot water bottle just in case. We were also sent so many messages while we were there about the stay. honestly this, felt intrusive and unnecessary.

Lovely apartment nice clean modern bedrooms and kitchen lounge area, had everything needed for our stay. Eg cutlery plates cups etc There were parts of the apartment which needed attention and could do with a lick of paint on doors & skirtings. But could do with the bathrooms being modernised maybe adding a fan & some ventilation. Called the hosts to request more toilet roll as there was not enough to last us 2 days & there were 5 adults, I was told they didn’t provide it & we would have to purchase more ourselves. We’ve stayed in other apartments in Liverpool & have always been provided with extra toilet paper.

I have stayed here twice and will stay again, it is charming and super comfortable. The location is central and convenient, but still quiet. The apartment is beautiful, spacious, and full of character. The fittings and furnishings are high quality. The property is equipped to a high standard with everything a traveller needs. Warm water is plentiful and heating is easy to use. I have really enjoyed both my stays here and would highly recommend. Communication with hosts has always been smooth and easy, great customer service, and clear instructions for picking up keys.

Spacious and clean accommodation

Spacious and comfortable - ideal for a group of friends or a large family. It’s in a lovely area with lots of choice for restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk.

Amazon location, beautiful building, quite nice views from the windows. A bit on the chilly side at night. Bring warm pjs if you’re staying in the winter. The heating system was unpredictable, perhaps on a timer and came on when we were out. The apartment is on the third floor, accessed by quite steep stairs, so not for anyone with mobility issues.

Our 3 bed, 2 bathroom apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Arrival and departure online instructions were good. Nice pub at end of the road. Checkout time of 10am.

The communication with the hotel is excellent. Charlie is extremely helpful and efficient. The property is located in a fantastic location in Liverpool city centre within walking distance to famous landmarks, great restaurants and bars. The interior is stylish and comfortable. Checkin and checkout are simple and quick. Nothing - even the weather was great!

The property was clean well maintained and had everything we needed Nothing

I stayed with friends in Faulkner Street, The Georgian Quarter, Liverpool for 2 nights in November. The flat itself was fabulous minus a couple of blips such as toilets not flushing properly, the bath taking forever to drain whilst showering and the front bedrooms being rather chilly but other than that all was great. I would however have given this visit 5 stars if it hadn't been for Host and Stay emails prior to visiting. The first email advised that £80 would require to be collected at the property due to Liverpool Council requirements, I contacted Host and Stay to discuss this but their team knew nothing about it and advised they would look into it, they then e-mailed me back advising they were still investigating the matter then I never heard anything else about it which I thought was strange to say the least. Their second email requested check-in to proceed however during check-in their deposit scheme reared its head and offered two choices, first was to pay £350 and receive a refund if no damages occurred minus a £10 admin fee (for what?) alternatively, if damages occurred these would also be deducted. Second choice was to pay a non refundable deposit of £35 to cover any damages, what a con!! These extra costs should be included in the booking price and broken down accordingly like the cleaning charge, waiting the week before travel is not acceptable and is a way of simply conning more money out of people as you can't visit until you check-in and these costs need to be paid during check-in. I for one will be hesitant in booking any of Host and Stay's properties in the future, very sly and unprofessional indeed ......

The apartment is in a good location with beautiful surroundings. There are local pubs and cafes close by with the main bars and restaurants a walk away or short taxi ride. The apartment itself was beautiful, modern and very spacious. My only issue would be the sofa bed, it was not the comfiest, so if you have more guests than beds, the sofa bed is not a great option. Other than that, the apartment was great and I would definitely return.

The accommodation, facilities and location were great. Nothing really. I suppose having access via the front door would have been good. And would have given us more convenient and quicker access to the nearest pub, across the street, The Belvedere. But we can't complain, as The Blackburne Arms was close enough.

The apartment was spacious and in a good location..The facilities were excellent. There were lovely restaurants on the doorstep if you didn't fancy the 20 min walk into the city. Would definitely recommend this accomodatìon. We are a family of four, two teenagers. Cloths could be provided to wipe down work tops, etc. The apartment maybe needed to be "aired" as there was a smell of sweat, particularly downstairs, in the basement . It was quite confusing to find. The Falkner Road part of address was confusing

Very well presented and all facilities great Nothing

This was the best-presented place that we stayed in the UK. So many nice details--artwork, bedroom set-up, lounge look and feel. I imagine this is quite the party place. We saw lots of hen parties out in the city center and we could hear partying going on in some of the other flats. It wasn't a major distraction for our family, but I can imagine things could get pretty crazy.

Stunning interior (bathrooms need a little zhuzh to match the exceptional level of all of the other rooms). Loved the location so close to Hope St. Would have liked it to be made clearer that we had to enter via the other street. Also parking is not easy so we drove and parked in a 24hr central city car park.

The location was very good, nice and central to bars and restaurants. No clear advice about long stay parking. No cafetière. Manual spoke about a parking permit but no information.

It was modern with lovely space for all the family and comfortable beds and enough bathrooms. We had to phone for the location & entry details as we hadn’t received the details by our check in time only to find out we had to drag our luggage to the next road to enter through the back entrance. The oven & kitchen bins hadn’t been cleaned. But otherwise the rest was great.

No details about how to collect the keys. All information sent the day after arrival. Tried calling but no reply only answer machines and a call back over 12 hours late. Not a very good service for the cost of the accommodation. The house was lovely inside, had everything we needed and in a good location.

Location. Recently decorated. Furnished well. Bathrooms are in a serious need of a revamp. They are not to the standard of the rest of the place. Both showers are very poor and one shower head was not working. And we were not informed of this. 7 people in one shower is not easy. No washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets were left. Which you would expect to be left. We had to buy are own, which was an inconvenience. Major issue was the temperamental electrical circuits which kept tripping and eventually the whole circuit went off when we were watching the Euro Final. This was an considerable disappointment and was hugely frustrating. Initial attempts to don’t at you were unfruitful as they was no answer to our call. We eventually fixed it ourselves as we turned off the shower switch which enabled the circuit to work. A suitable refund should be considered for this.

The apartment was truly beautiful in a very beautiful location in the Georgian quarter of Liverpool. Spacious , comfortable and spotlessly clean , we all slept well in very comfy beds. We picked this apartment to celebrate our daughter’s graduation and we were not disappointed. Liverpool is a fantastic fun and thriving city. We will be back soon ? Having to leave

Very clean, value for money, spacious and tasty

We thought the apartment was very nice, the bedrooms were spacious with excellent beds, extensive kitchen, nice sitting room and TV everywhere. Between the first door and the door at the entrance of the building there was a narrow corridor full of seagull droppings and there was a smoking area that you had to walk through and therefore occasionally "joined the smokers", which we hate and is certainly not an example. for the little children. Furthermore, there was something lacking in hygiene: There was a nasty smell in the kitchen from the start. On the 2nd day of our stay we emptied the refrigerator and there was a lot of brown gunk under the bottom container. So this has not been cleaned by cleaners for several days! Furthermore, the Nespresso machine did not work. A waste bin had also not been emptied. Since we were traveling with very small children, this apartment on the 3rd floor (4 flights of stairs) was not ideal for us.

The property was well set up for a big group of people, with lots of crockery and cutlery, and lovely wine glasses! There was lots of space in the bedrooms and we loved the neighbourhood! The sofas were quite hard and the shower in the attic was really not good. It had low pressure and was freezing cold.

Location, comfort, spacious rooms, clean and modern. We had 9 in our party and we never felt on top of each other at any time. The stairs to the 3rd floor not easy as quite steep. The stairs into the attic bedrooms and bathroom were far too steep and didn't feel safe going up and down them. Balustrade was broken on the way up to the attic and could have hurt someone. Making the entrance way door more visible on bookings as this was very confusing. We encountered the facilities manager who was very rude to us because we came in the front door and not the rear entrance when we first arrived. We adhered to policy once we knew the rules..

The property was absolutely beautiful, really nice interior and it was so clean and comfortable. I didn’t like the communication I received from the staff, it came across very they reiterated over and over that they do not allow party groups. And if we didnt comply they would keep the money and remove us from the property. If your renting a property that sleeps 6 plus then I’m pretty sure it’s mainly going to be groups.

Beautiful apartment in a lovely location. Airy and spacious. Well equipped. The restaurants and pubs near the apartment were great. Quite a few maintenance issues need resolving. Issue with hot water, electrics cutting out and apartment not being ready on arrival time. Property is managed by a company that were mostly unhelpful. Most communication is automated and there is far too much of it.

Fantastic property for a big group, great value for money. The beds are comfortable, it is well decorated, everyone was pleasantly surprised. I have stayed in both the basement and top floor unit and both have been excellent.

Good property for 8 people, very good location for seeing Liverpool and specifically the Georgian area is a real find, good value at peak time, easy instruction from hosts on gaining entry , and hosts always in touch and contactable. Whilst property had good sized bedroom , the living area was a bit small for 8 people. Just a question of taste -our bed was a bit soft compared to what we are used to.Main shower -whilst good - the main overhead outlet didn't work, but hand-held did - just needs a bit of maintenance .

The unit was well appointed and in a great location for our needs. When we arrived. by taxi the address was confusing and we did not know how to enter the unit. We finally got some one on the phone and got things sorted out.

The property was amazing. Excellent location, great interiors and well maintained. The price was worth it. The property was perfect for a group or a family. Host was not flexible on checkout. We checked in very late and was expecting some flexibility on check out but the host was not ready to give any extension.

Property was just what we were looking for. Plenty of room and had everything we needed. Close to town about 15 min walk. Lovely restaurants near the property..felt like we were in a little village outside of the town. Bedrooms downstairs were a little cold While this was booked through booking.com the communication was with host&stay. There was a lot of messages from them which there was no need for. Also, I almost got scammed for the full amount of the property following a msg from booking.com asking for credit card details.

Wonderfully large apartment with high ceilings and huge windows on a lovely street. Great view of the cathedral from the sitting room. We had watched the BBC series A House Through Time series about 68 Falkner Street with David Olusoga so we were very happy with the location and to be able to stay in the Georgian Quarter. Easy 15 mins to walk down into the city centre. We also recommend the Moose Coffee restaurant. Very clean and prompt communication with the hosts. Highly recommended place to stay away from the hubbub of the streets in the centre. Nothing we didn't like BUT just a couple of heads up to let future guests know that the three bedroom apartment is comprised of two apartments on the same floor. One facing the front street and one the back courtyard view. Each is a one bedroom apartment with an open plan kitchen/lounge. The larger of the front rooms that look out onto Falkner Street would have been that apartment's lounge /kitchen and is now a bedroom. It's a great idea to combine the two apartments into a large one but to achieve that you have one bedroom with kitchen cupboards, a sink and a microwave. Just in case you wonder why one bedroom has the feel of an upmarket bedsit! This is the larger of the front street facing rooms and did get chilly as there is no double glazing. The radiator can be supplemented by using the electric heater in the wardrobe. There were guests in the above duplex apartment and they weren't noisy but you could still hear their voices filtering down through the walls occasionally. I don't think it was the next door house as the walls must be very solid. I guess that's old houses for you. The recommended parking at the Philharmonic Hall was full when we arrived as there was a Sunday afternoon concert. We were able to get a space by parking on the street for an hour and then moving over to the car park after it had emptied out a bit. Be prepared to download the Horizon parking app for the car park and the Phone to Pay app for the street parking. We didn't need our car after that so we just factored in the cost of £16 for 24 hours to the holiday. The entrance is accessed from the back of the house. A bit confusing as the apartment is advertised as being on Falkner Street but then you get the details and the address is Blackburne Place, the road behind Falkner Street. I can confirm that you are staying on Falkner Street but you don't go through the front door.

Location, facilities and on the whole a lovely apartment equipped with everything you could need. Damp in lower floor bathroom, which is clearly an ongoing problem being ignored. The smell was so bad that it spread to the 2 bedrooms next door, which became uninhabitable and the bathroom unusable. The property should not be let in this condition as it's a health hazard. Steps, loads of stairs up to the apartment, and a very steep staircase within the duplex apartment 3, you underestimate the amount until you arrive, dont recommend for anyone who struggls with staira..

Good location and good for our needs In one of the apartments next door they played loud music until midnight and one morning started again at 7am. This could be heard in one of the bedrooms, even the supplied ear plugs could not help.

Apartment was gorgeous, however the first floor bathroom leaked i to the downstairs bathroom, which made the short stay a very terrible one. The fact that the bathroom was leaking.

Location was fantastic, close to city by a short bus ride or 20 minute walk. Bus stop literally at end of road. Area was lovely and quite, few nice bars in the area and great breakfasts/lunch at Moose Coffee. Best coffee I've ever had here also. Apartment was clean and had all we needed. Lots of space and beds were comfy too. Carpet needs replacing on stairs as well worn and there were a few stains on bench at end of bed. Internet could be hit and miss at times.

High quality accommodation in a lovely area in the city centre, close to everything. Be prepared for a lot of questions (including ages of each of the group) and copies of documents to be sent before confirmation.

Everything aside from the linens that has a bit of smell. But the staff sorted it. One room is a bit smelly when we arrived.

We liked the location, plenty of space for family, lovely apartment and comfy beds.

The place (Apartment 3) was able to accommodate my extended family of 12 comfortably. The beds were comfortable and of good sizes. Good to have all the added amenities as we were able to cook breakfast before we head out for the day. I informed the landlord of a certain smell in the kitchen which they quickly responded to saying they will investigate.

lovely clean property and only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and pubs , picking up keys from lockbox was easy and made it flexible for arrival quite a few stairs to climb and tv in one room didnt work ?

Fantastic location, and very peaceful. Host was very quick to respond and answer any questions we had too. It had all the comforts we needed and was very well presented. Not enough coffee pods in the kitchen. Bed mattresses were bit uncomfortable and noisey.

It’s in a great location, the road is beautiful and quiet. Only a £6 taxi ride to everywhere we wanted to go and some trips we walked. The instruction manuals were clear and useful. The doors were sturdy and sound didn’t travel between the floors/rooms.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful - the location is great. Everything was wonderful - the price is obviously very expensive but everything else is rated 10. I would book again but the price is high if you are only a couple - however the apartment was large, comfortable and beautiful decorated so cant complain.

Property was clean, warm & comfortable and in a very quiet location which was suitable for us. Access instructions were clear and staff very helpful prior to our trip. Stairs were a bit of a challenge! A few housekeeping points: kitchen kickboard needs adjustment & top floor bathroom basin very slow to drain.

rooms were comfortably big so you never felt cramped making it perfect for groups! the location is excellent with Liverpool Cathedral right around the corner and plenty of places to enjoy food and drinks just up the road. the noise from the hallway and people using the stairs can be quite loud especially with people coming in late at night. due to the building this can’t be helped and is only a minor inconvenience at most.

We thought we were coming on vacation but found ourselves sleeping near a construction site. Every morning from 7 am until noon there were unbearable drills that could be heard clearly in the walls of the apartment which made it difficult for us to sleep.

This property was fantastic. Very centrally located snd easy to find and follow access instructions. Needed support from host when there through a mishap my end and they were very helpful. I would highly recommend and use again.

Well-appointed flat in an excellent location. It’s a shame that the entrance has now been moved from Falkner St to Blackburne Place. And there is no longer a parking permit. On-street parking is available nearby but it is not cheap.

clean, modern, had everything we needed. a short taxi ride from city centre. short walk to cathedral and baltic street - recommend for food. small thing, there was a nail coming through one of the floor boards but owner promised it will be fixed.

plenty of space, modern amenities, two bathrooms were a big bonus. bus stop at end of road sofa beds in living room were really uncomfortable which meant that sleep was difficult, a hard wooden piece was right across the sleeping area. Outside parking only allowed 2 hours max stay or residents only.

lovely spacious property. very clean and had regular contact with the host only downside was it was a little bit noisy outside at night. a slightly later checkout time on a Sunday would have been a bonus.

A lovely property in a period house. Contact with the owners was clear and they replied promptly. Property is in a great position for sightseeing and getting a feel for the Georgian Quarter. Lots of places to eat and drink in close proximity. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kithchen well appointed. We did not really eat in much bit you could have very easilly. Parking was a pain. The recommended car park was full when we arrvied and full when we inquired the next day. The method of getting the parking repaid was long winded as far as i was concerend and I just gave up in the end. You had to upload a phot but as the receipt was a three page e mail and i did not fancy prinitng it and photoing the print out! If driving also check for filming, as the road was closing due to filming on the day we left and we had to leave early. The guys on the film crew were helpful but you needed to keep an eye for the signs. The property had a smell of blocked drains. This did get a bit better as we used the sinks but lingered in the basement hall and bathroom. A couple of times people rang the door for other flats which got a bit irratating!

It was very difficult to book this appartment, the owner wants a e-mail and you have to exsplain who you are and what is the group in age and so on. Then you get a e-mail and you have to pay a deposit to cover if you brake anything. You a not alought to have noise because of the neighbor's. It is very difficult to find the entrance to the place it is on another street.

absolutely spotless and everything that you need is there for you. Hope it’s available next time we go to Liverpool.

Beautiful clean spacious apartment in the Georgian Quarter. Good eateries/ cafes/ pubs close by and a little supermarket a few minutes walk away Please be aware there are 4 flights of stairs to get into the apartment which could be a challenge for less mobile folk

Excellent location. Easy walking distance to all attractions. Beautiful historic area. I can't think of anything we didn't like. Superb accommodation.

the property was extremely clean, spacious, and modern, I was with four friends and we all had an amazing time. everything we needed was provided, it was in a great location with lovely restaurants and pubs in close proximity.

This property is located in a really lovely neighbourhood. Very quiet, yet with everything within walking distance. A five bedroom apartment was ideal for a family reunion. We had space for everyone and everyone had their own space!
