Welcome to The Old Meeting Hall, where you can book two neighbouring three-bedroom properties—Oddfellows Hall and The Old Antique Shop—together for up to 12 guests. Located in the historic town of Holt, these lovely homes blend modern comfort with historic character. With spacious living areas, stylish bedrooms, and all the amenities you need, it's perfect for family get-togethers or group holidays. Plus, you're just a short stroll from Holt's lively town centre and the beautiful North Norfolk coast!
The Space
Both properties will be available for your use during your stay, each offering fully equipped kitchens with modern appliances such as an oven, grill, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, pod coffee machine, and microwave. All cutlery, crockery, cookware, and utensils are provided, and a washer dryer is conveniently located in each utility room.
Oddfellows Hall:
The lounge is furnished with a large L-shaped sofa, a smart TV, and a glass dining table for six. There is also a mezzanine level with additional seating and a table football game for entertainment.
All three bedrooms are on the ground floor. The master bedroom features a super king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds upon request, while two additional bedrooms come with comfortable double beds.
The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a rainfall shower, while the second bedroom also features an ensuite with a rainfall shower. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath is located on the ground floor.
The Old Antique Shop:
The living area includes two sofas, a smart TV, and a large dining table that seats six. A charming spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine, which offers a cosy seating area for relaxation.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor, with the third upstairs. Two rooms feature super king-size beds, while the third offers two single beds. Each of the three bedrooms includes its own ensuite bathroom, with the master ensuite featuring a rainfall shower and a bathtub.
Neighborhood
The Old Meeting Hall is situated in the heart of Holt, a historic town in North Norfolk. This picturesque town showcases a beautiful mix of Georgian architecture, bustling art galleries, charming antique shops, and cosy cafes. Take time to wander along Holt’s lively high street, hidden courtyards, and quaint alleys, all filled with local treasures. Be sure to stop by The Folly Tea Room for a delightful treat!
The Old Meeting Hall is ideally located for exploring the stunning North Norfolk Coastline. You’ll find nearby seaside towns such as Sheringham and Cromer, along with breathtaking beaches like Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the saltmarsh vistas at Salthouse and Cley-next-the-Sea, both great for birdwatching and peaceful walks along the shingle shore. After a day of exploring, relax with a local Norfolk beer at The Dun Cow, home to one of the county’s most popular beer gardens.
Getting Around
Holt is well-connected by road, making it easily accessible from nearby towns and cities. If you're coming by car, the A148 road provides a direct route into Holt from King's Lynn and Cromer. There is also parking available in the town.
For public transport, Holt is not served by a direct train line, but the nearest train station is in Sheringham, just a short bus or taxi ride away. The Bittern Line offers regular services between Sheringham and Norwich, where you can connect to other major cities.
Once in Holt, the town is best explored on foot due to its compact size and many hidden alleys and courtyards. If you wish to explore the surrounding coastline and countryside, local buses provide routes to coastal towns and nature reserves. Alternatively, cycling is a great option for those who prefer a scenic and active way to travel.
