The Space

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, oven, hob, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, and microwave. The spacious dining area features a wooden table with plenty of seating for everyone. Sand Pit Cottage offers three cosy bedrooms - two with king-size beds and one with a comfy double - sleeping up to six guests. The family bathroom downstairs has a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. The master bedroom also has its own ensuite with a toilet and basin, newly added in 2024. Step into the sunny courtyard garden with a patio, outdoor furniture, and a BBQ for al fresco dining. After a day exploring the North Norfolk coast, relax in the large private hot tub—your perfect retreat!

Sandpit Cottage is nestled in the charming village of Thorpe Market, just 4 miles south of the coastal town of Cromer, offering a peaceful retreat with access to some of Norfolk’s best attractions. The village is surrounded by excellent dining options, including the renowned Gunton Arms, celebrated as one of the finest restaurants in the county.

Just a short drive from the cottage, you’ll find Groveland Farm Shop and Restaurant, a delightful spot only 2 minutes away by car, as well as two local pubs, The Vernon Arms and The Suffield Arms, both less than 1.5 miles from the property. For convenience, a mini-mart located just a mile away provides essential groceries and other necessities.

A quick trip to Cromer offers visitors a taste of the traditional seaside experience, with its wide sandy beach, perfect for swimming and surfing all year round. The town’s picturesque streets are lined with Victorian buildings, and the area is full of pubs, restaurants, arcades, and cafés. Getting Around
Thorpe Market is easily accessible by car. From Norwich, it’s about a 30-40 minute drive via the A140 and A149. If you’re traveling from London, the journey takes around 2.5 to 3 hours via the A11.

The nearest train station is in Gunton, just a 5-minute drive from Sandpit Cottage. Alternatively, Cromer Station, about 10 minutes away by car, provides regular services to Norwich. From Norwich, there are direct trains to London Liverpool Street, Cambridge, and other major cities.

Local bus services run between Thorpe Market and nearby towns, such as Cromer and Sheringham. The Coasthopper bus service connects several coastal villages, making it easy to explore without a car.
