Do NOT book with Host and Stay!<br/>We booked this listing for a little get away in the Lakes with our dogs which is an 8 hour drive from where we live in Wales. we received a text from at 3pm (check in was 4pm) to say our stay had been cancelled due to an accident at the property. We already had been sent all check in details. After chasing and calling for 2 hours, we then got told it had been double booked. We then got told by another advisor the host was staying there and then by another advisor that the listing shouldn’t be live. We then had to find further accommodation for our 3 night stay which cost us over £700. We had received messages from ‘Charlie’ yet every time I call ahead they aren’t available to talk. They’ve promised me a full refund on all extra expenses. This is absolutely shocking, outrageous care and it isn’t the first time it’a happened according to reviews. They also ask you to pay a non refundable fee of £25 or refundable £250 in case of damage. Scam!!!!!
